Here's what's going on...
Kidtastic Adventure (July 15-19) is a week-long summer day camp, where kids Kindergarten–5th grade can play games, make crafts, build friendships, worship and discover who God is and what He has in store for their life.
Cost is $35 per child. Register opens in April.
Theme Verse
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west. So far does he remove our sins from us. Psalm 103:11,12
At the beginning of each day, everybody will begin the day in the Worship Center for our Worship Rally. From there, each grade will rotate between five different activities: Storytelling, Fun & Games, Craft, Snack, and Small Groups, will last about 25 minutes each, and then return to the Worship Center at the end of the day for our Closing Rally.
Worship Rally
What a great place to begin the day! During worship rally, our worship team will lead the kids in upbeat, theme-related songs to get them excited for what they will learn during the day. From there, the kids will watch the daily video featuring our hero Dusty Boots Rogers, heroine Magnolia Sweet and how they overcome obstacles in the desert and defeat the dastardly Jasper Country Roads Jones.
Storytelling
Easily the most important part of the day, Storytelling is the time when kids will hear the daily Bible Story and how it applies to their own life. Our wonderful storytellers introduce the Bible to the kids in an engaging way, and the kids will also participate in an activity that relates to the story.
Small Groups
After Story, the kids will break off into their small group areas, and spend time connecting what they just learned about the daily Bible story to their daily life. This is their chance to really ponder and ask questions about who Jesus is, what He did and why it matters.
Fun & Games
Fun & Games happens out on the front lawn, and is the perfect time for kids to be active while participating in lawn games, playing sports, jumping on bounce houses and even getting wet!
Crafts
Kids have the chance to get creative by participating in a large array of various hands-on activities.
Snack
Every morning, the kids will take a break from all the excitement and also have a snack! Nutritional information on all snacks served are/will be available on the website.
How will my child be checked in and out?
Every day, the child’s parent or guardian will escort their child into the Worship Center, where they will be greeted by their child’s small group leader, and initial the sign-in sheet to confirm that their child is here for the day. When Kidtastic Adventure is over, the parent or guardian must return to the Worship Center and initial the sign-out sheet to claim their child. If somebody other than the child’s parent or guardian is picking up the child, they must present the small group leader with the child’s security number. People who do not have the security number will not be allowed to check-out the child EVEN IF they are a family friend, etc. Small group leaders can contact a member of the Kids Ministry Team to call the parent to ensure proper pick up.
When will my child receive their T-shirt?
On the first day of Kidtastic Adventure, your child will receive their T-Shirt, a wristband that they will wear all week so we can identify which group they belong to, and another wristband if they have a food allergy.
Should my child bring anything?
Make sure that your child is wearing their T-Shirt, wristband, and comfortable shoes! A child may also bring a water bottle, a towel for Water Day, or chapstick. However, everything they bring will be their responsibility to take care of.
Can my preschool aged child participate in Kidtastic Adventure?
Kidtastic Adventure is only provided for nursery or preschool aged children if their parent is somehow serving at Kidtastic Adventure, and is on the Sunrise Campus for the entire duration. If you are interested in serving, please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form.
What is the Allergy Policy for Kidtastic Adventure?

If a child is unable to consume the snack provided:
Parents may choose to provide a single serving alternative that is clearly labeled with the child’s name & give to the small group leader to serve. Parents should inform the small group leader that the snack of the day is not safe for their child, and instruct the child to say, “No, thank you.” All snacks must be nut free. We are unable to store snacks for more than one day, so please only provide a single serving snack each day.
